turning 50.?

Question:
it seems that there is some sort of stigma attatched to this particular birthday. what is it?

Answers:
if you think 50 is bad.I am 57 and here to tell you that it don't get nothin but worse.

Other Answers:
I am turning 50 in 4 years. I hope things are going to get better! I see 50 as still being young and I don't attach a stigma to it.

People can be silly.
That is the only reason there is a negative connotation to turning 50. I know many people who died before getting there, who would have loved to be 50, 60,70 and more. When I turned 50 last year, I told everyone that 50 was the new 40 and they could just go take a leap if they didn't agree. I think the one thing you realize as you get older is that every year more is really a blessing and a gift, and not to be thankful, is to be silly. Do you see my point?

Life doe's change for the better at 50.

That's just -- a stigma. I'm 66 and feel fantastic. I think 50 is the half century mark. I golf, do yoga, dance. Most people think I'm 55.

is like a psihological step.
