From what I understand, a prominent cisterna magna is an incidental finding. It is something you were born with and does not cause any problems with your health. I would liken it to this scenario. You are suffering with a backache and get lumbar spine x-rays. The x-rays show 6 lumbar vertebra instead of the normal 5. It is the way you were born, and does not contribute to the backache.
