do u hve 2 use support stockings for life after having a D.V.T.?
Question:
Answers:
That depends on the cause of your DVT and whether or not you are a high risk of having recurrence. If you have had a recurrence then generally doctors would want you to be on some sort of prophylaxis (protection against or prevention of) whether that be Coumadin or support stockings. Recurrent clots or otherwise high risk people (such as those genetically disposed to clotting) will generally have to have something to prevent clots for a lifetime.
Developing these clots can be very dangerous and even be fatal, so if you are directed to wear them, you should wear them.
Other Answers:
If the valves of your veins are affected you should use them for life. See with your doctor.Maybe you need a duplex ultrasound to see how are the valves.
Yes, U should use them most of the time at least. Good luck!
what does your doctor say if that's what it takes to keep you healthy then just do it .good luck
best to do what ur dr advises u to do with that regard.
