Painful tooth?
Question:
I have toothache in my bottom left molar, 3 in front of the wisdom tooth but when I look at it in a mirror the tooth looks fine. Obviously, I'm not a dentist, so there might still be a cavity, but it looks ok.
Thing is, the tooth behind it has a TINY hole in it, on the top of the tooth in one of the pits - I thought there was something black stuck in it, but after brushing my teeth it was still there, and I got a pin and discovered it's actually a small hole which is black in colour. I'm assuming this is a cavity in the tooth?
Could the cavity in this tooth be causing the toothache in the tooth in front of it? I also have a little pain in the molar 3 from the back on the top, could the pains all be linked to one cavity?
I don't have a dentist just now, and I haven't seen one for 5 or 6 years..
Answers:
I can relate with you. I dealt with tooth pain for about 3-4 years. It was on and off, but I went to the dentist, and although it took a couple of visits and my dental insurance took a dent, I have limited tooth pain now.
In my case, it was several decaying tooths that triggered my tooth pain. I thought it was only one too, but my dentist told me that it was several that caused it.
I dealt with the pain for a couple of years, and I survived. Although it was only temporary, rinsing my mouth with strong mouthwash helped (Along with proper brushing.) Also floss, I rarely floss, but I started recently and no tooth pain. :)

umm, not so sure, if it was right beside it then maybe, but it could also be in the root of ur tooth, i cry myself to sleep everynight because of toothace, buti would never see a dentist,, no matter what, lol, i would suggest u get them fixed, since its nothing big and they're only 2 teeth, but i wouldn't blame u if u decide to not go:)
What you need to do is go to the drug store and buy what they call clove oil. Place a little on a swab and place it on the tooth and gums around the tooth. Its going to burn for a few and make you spit. But you want have a tooth pain no more.
If you have a toothache now, and you aren't going to a dentist, then you either think that the toothache will get better on its own or you plan to live with this for a long time.
I would suggest that, regardless of whether or not you can figure out why you have a toothache, that it will not likely get better on its own. In fact, over time, it will likely get worse, and the longer you wait, the more extensive the dental treatment will be.
It is possible to have dental pain in places where you don't expect it. Regardless, you can visit a dentist and get your questions answered relatively quickly.
