I am using commercially available face powder to ceal the shine on my face so I could face my friends with no worries. Can you suggest a good alternative or brand to use that I can buy in stores or online?

I have oliy skin as well. I use Clean and Clear Oil-free face scrub. It's Orange and you can get it anywhere. It works AMAZINGLY, and it's pretty cheap.

Other Answers:
You can, but a better and more "gender friendly" solution would be to use the clean and clear oil blotting face papers. Just use them to blot your t-zone or whatever when you notice they are getting oily.
