Should I be Taking Antibiotic before Pulling My Tooth?

Question:
My Doctors Set me for an appointment next Sunday (to pull a bad tooth) ,but he did not prescribe any medications

Answers:
If you dont have an infection, then its not necessary.

Other Answers:
no usually only an antibiotic is prescribed only if there is an infection present.

no take motrin or tylenol

Don't think antibiotic. think painkillers. Maybe Ibuprofen or Vicodin.

I'm sure if you needed antibiotics, your dentist would have prescribed them.

I had a total knee replacement and have to have antibiotics before even cleaning my teeth. Before that, I never had to have antibiotics and I had a lot of teeth pulled.

Depends on if you have a heart mur mur , then yes. Otherwise, they usually don't prescribe you anything unless you ask.

ouch!

If the dentist didn't prescribe you anything than you should be fine. If you can, take 800mg Ibuprofen before your dental appointment & keep up on it for the next 2 days.that will help with any discomfort you may have.
