if it is an absess don't mess with it, accept to put antibotic cream if it's external, I've had several and they are very easy to pass on to others. After having it drained by a doctor or if it's not external, the only way to reduce puffiness is oral antibiotics, or a shot.
Ask for the shot, it almost overnight disappears.
