If I smoked for 10 years and quit, would my lungs ever fully repair themselves?
Question:
What can I do to help them get healthy again??
Answers:
Luckily, once you quit, the process of self-repair in your lungs starts. In time, most, if not all, of the damage will be repaired.
Other Answers:
not 100% better.. but they will heal
It'll take almost 7 yrs from the date of quit for the lungs to be normal. Take good food, exercise etc.
Do breathing exercises (Yoga and Meditation).
The healing process starts shortly after you stop smoking so yes eventually your lungs will heal themselves, make sure you have a healthy diet, keep active and visit your doctor regularly to ensure you stay healthy
it depends on how young you are when you quit. obviously the younger your body is the easier it is for it to repair itself. of course it will take a long time to completely get rid of all of the effects, but it will for the most part eventually. you're definitely way better off whether your lungs heal completely or not.
They won't be as they were before. You will feel better, healthier if you stop smoking for the rest of your life.
Wish you the best

Trust Me leave it at once. Once u leave it u can enjoy yr life and will see growing stamina.
well the only thing i can say is that you have just lenghten your life but would it heals it self it depends how much of a smoker you are better check w/ a doctor & have an examination
not fully recovered, but not persistently damaged it either.Better to stop before it's extremely late
It depends on what you've been smoking. The tars accumulated from tobacco, in the absence of any permanent damage, takes a long time to 'recycle', that is, exit from your system. The biggest problem is whatever is stored in the body fat. This takes much longer to address.
d damage has been done.. atleast it wont get worse
