My wife goes through many mood swings during this time. She is more emotional as well. I as a man don't really understand it but I just love her all the more and just wait a few days and she back to normal. I am just glad that I am a man. Sure seems Like a real big pain in the butt

Well, depending what's going on in general, I either get weepy, irritable or snappish. Regardless of the mood, it won't last long and I'm on to the next!
I will cry about anything. like honestly ANYTHING. I will cry if I step on an ant when I'm close to my period. I think everyone reacts different, but mood swings would probably be a sign that you're close.
and it's good that you're aware of them, because then you can control it and everyone you know doesn't need to run for the hills :)
I get depressed easier and my feelings get hurt easier, which may make me cry.
