How guaranteed is it that I will not get any cavities in my life.?

Question:
I am 9 years old.
I have not gotten any cavities in my life so far, obviously.

Answers:
Don't drink too much pop or eat to much candy and brush them well and visit dentist twice a year! I am 32 and have never had a cavity mostly I believe because my parents didn't allow me to drink too much pop nor have a constant supply of candy/gum:) I only had pop about maybe once a month, special occasions.

Other Answers:
I have never gotten them. I don't brush my teeth everyday either, lol.

9 year old are not supposed to be on this site

It's not. I had one in my baby teeth. Just found out I have one now about 30 years later.

There are no guarantees, but you need to brush AND floss your teeth at least twice a day, one being before bed. Don't eat again until the morning. Brush again after having sweets, because sugar causes tooth decay (even if it is something like yams at supper). If you are not embarrassed to do so, bring a toothbrush in your purse to school for after lunch.

Avoid sugar. Always brush after meals. Floss daily.

brush your teeth after every meal and floss

It is absolutely not guaranteed. Just make sure to always have good oral hygiene habits by brushing properly 2-3 times per day and flossing at least once per day. Make sure to always see your dentist every 6 months for regular cleanings and exams. You can help prevent cavities by staying away from things that are high in sugar such as chewing gum, soda, candy, etc. I do hope you never have cavities. Just remember that learning the proper oral hygiene habits now and practicing them will help to ensure good dental health in the future.
