Why does it hurt so bad, why do I feel so sad.why did God "bless" me with depression?

Question:
Am I the only one that is totally sick of life but is too Christian to do anything about it? Plus I love my children, I wouldn't want to be without them, but I'm so fat (went from sz 10 to a 12 and sometimes 14) and ugly (I've always thought this), and I can't provide for them appropriately. Being depressed I'm not being the best parent I used to be.

Answers:
With out sadness there would be no joy. Attitude is everything. If you live your life thinking that there is a grey cloud over your head there will be a grey cloud over your head. Oprah had mentioned this activity to get a more positive outlook on life. Everyday come up with 5 things that you are thanksful for. It can be simple things but things that you really are thankful for. Be thankful that you have children. Be thankful that you have someone to love you. Be thankful that you have a computer to use youqa.com. There are a lot of people out there that are a lot (and I mean a lot) worse off than any of us are.

Don't let depression get you down.

For years I thought I was ugly but that changed. This really works: Look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful, after a while you even start to look good, it really works. And about not providing for your children.my mother never had much bringing me up but I love her beyond words, and if you are a Christian you will know that the only chance a rich man of getting to heaven is if he can squeeze a camel throught the eye of a needle. Not having too much in this life is a blessing you will only realize in the next. Also people why suffer tend to be the good ones, and they are closer to God than those who have a great life. And finally, its better not to live for happyness in this life, it is the next life that is important, try to live for that

i know exactly how you feel..there's really nothing you can do about it..just go to a shrink i know that helped me immensely.and talk to your friends their sure to help you out of a sitch and make you laugh..remember the best remedy is sometimes laughter and joy..just kidding although it can be

If you are looking to outside sources for the answer that is your first mistake. All we can do is tell you to look inside. You are a beautiful person with a family that loves you, I'm sure. Realizing you suffer from something that could be depression means you are aware of your surroundings and your feelings. All steps in the right direction. I am not a person who believes in medication, or not to much, but sometimes the right medication can assist you in focusing on what is important in life. If you have children, especially children who care about you, you have more to be happy about than most people alive today. Stop focusing on things like weight, and appearance. You are who you are, a Great, Wonderful, Beautiful, Caring, Loving Person. Just let all that out. Accept who you are, and love that person. You will be able to truly love those around you, and they will love you like never before.

Have a Great Day and a Better Tomorrow!

1. why does it hurt so bad? it is your emotions that are hurting you, this is because your emotions are the one vital part of you that you cannot physically protect.
2. why you feel sad, is because you have allowed too many negative thoughts to override your ability to reason. you have become the person you are, because of the way you think.
3.depression is not a blessing. it is the result of negative thinking.
the relationship between mind and body is very real. the body reacts to information you give to it. you have always thought poorly of yourself and your body basically says " ok, if you say so!" and goes along with the idea. so first of all, stop that! you now know that if you think negative, you become negative. we need to change the way you think, this mind and body also works the other way too with much better results. start sending positive messages to your body. with your ' minds eye ' visualize yourself as the person you've always pictured. see yourself in detail as the strong hard working, fun loving successful individual that you are. change the way you think and in turn your life will change. positive thinking encourages a positive lifestyle. avoid depression at all cost, it is not worth the impending downfall. it is a simple concept that really works. change your life by changing the way you percieve yourself and the world around you.

First of all, stop beating yourself up.Second of all stop blaming God. You have two children(gifts from God.) and I'm sure they don't think that their mama is ugly. You can loose the weight, you didn't gain it overnight. So don't expect to loose it overnight. Exercises with your kids, and have fun with it. If your comfort eating, try other things. Like put apiece of paper on the fridge, every time you want to eat, draw a smiley face on the paper, and then go clean something. At the end of every day look at all those faces, count them.hey look their all smiling at you because you did so good not eating. As for providing for your children, there all all kinds of programs out there to train people for decent paying jobs. Obviously you have a computer. Utilize it to help you find these sources. Start with your local chamber of commerce-employment agency-job training placement programs. And I'm sure that somewhere in your community, there is a mental health agency, that can help you with some counseling, to help you cope with your depression. Good luck. And I know you can do it!
