does it hurt to have your ears pierced?
Question:
Answers:
Yes, but how much depends on your tolerance for pain. For some it may feel like just a little pinch. Personally, I thought it hurt a lot and made me nauseous from the pain.
How well do you handle needles? It isn't as bad as a shot, but eek, needles send me RUNNING.

no
A little sting.
It shoud
not at all
very, very little
just a little bit than it goes away..
Not really, a quick pinch and it's done. Getting the cartilage pierced hurts a little more, but it's not bad either. There aren't a lot of nerve endings in the ears.
it only hurts for a few minutes no big deal
Not really.
I recently got mine done for the first time, so you could imagine how I felt. I was shaking and very scared.
But, all the ear-person did was pull out a gun, put the earring in, and shoot it at where I wanted my ear pierced.
I felt a small pain, but it went away in less than a minute. So, though you feel a small sting, it's totally worth it.
I can't remember the pain if any! My mom made me get my ears pierced when I was 5 years old. I know I didn't cry and the lady who pierced my ears did it fast. I didn't feel a thing!
yeah it dose the lastime i got it pierced it hurt for a while i have got it done three times not all the same time oh dont go were the bone is all the way it hurts even more i herd.

If you are piercing your earlobes, you probably will only feel a little sting.
Now, if you're getting a cartilage piercing, that hurts quite a bit more, and takes several months for it to heal.
YES,YES IT DOES
it depends somewhat on the method of piercing but mostly on where you pierce your ears. if you pierce the soft lower lobe (Lobule) with a piercing gun (such as you'll find in a jewelry store) you will feel a short sharp pain and then a slightly dull pain for a few hours. no big deal. it's really more the anticipation then the pain itself.
The Lobule is vestigial and has very few nerves in it. try pinching it and you'll see it's hard to make it hurt.
some people pierce their upper Helix or Scapha which can be much more painful. these are the upper/outer parts of the ear and they are much more sensitive.
and of course if you use a needle, like a safety pin (please make sure it is sterily on don't share it with anyone!) this can be more painful.
i pierced my ears myself, the first hole with a safety pin, it was more of a discomfort then pain and a little shock when the pin finally popped through. the second hole i made by forcing a thick stud earing through the Lobule by hand. i do not recommend this for your first piercing :D
after you have your ear pierced do not remove the stud for a few days and remember to turn the stud from time to time and to clean any fluid that may leak out (nothing to worry about)
good luck
p.s. check out the wikipedia link on the outer ear to see which parts of the ear i was referring to

if u have ultra sensitive skin yes! but normaly no
No, it's done so quickly with special piercing "gun". It might sting a little, but it not painful. Do it at the mall and ask for pure gold posts for your new stud earrings.
no ! but it depends what part of the ear your talking about the top or the bottom .the bottom does feel hot when you get it done but it happens so fast its like your done before you know it.the top part of your ear it is called the cartilage you kinda can feel a little bit more sensation then the bottom and the only thing about that is that you can here it pop you have to be really careful with the top part of your ear getting pierced cuz if it gets infected you can grow a ball or a cyst also your year can fold in i would not recommend getting that done if you plan on getting your ears pierced at least not right away there is a lot more responsibility

NO not really.
no..it stings a little for like 5 mins after but it doesnt hurt bad at all.
nope just a little pinch and your done.
No, but after it might sting alittle. But, its definatly worth it!
it actually depends.. if u are really weak and cant handle a shot then probly would hurt to get ears perce. also it depends if u get ur cartalage perced. then i think that would kinda hurt. My baby sister just got her ears perced. she didnt cry but it did sting a little
Only when it first happens for the first second. Trust me, i have double pierced ears.
No way if you don't have them go and get one.
Everyone is different, so you're going to get mixed opinions. However, in my opinion the actual piercing doesn't HURT, it stings a little, but that's it. Afterwards it's a little sore, but nothing you can't handle., & it doesn't stay sore all that long.
