i have stage fearr/fear to talk infront of 10people.?

Question:
if i am asked to give presentation by higher ups,i get nervous to start with.

Answers:
Practice, practice, etc. Do it in front of the mirror, then in front of your family, friends, who ever will listen. The more familiar you are with the material, the easier it will be. The best strategy is just do it, and don't think about it.

Other Answers:
The other thing you can do is imagine (and it's true) that everyone listening to you has to put their pants on one leg at a time just like everyone else in the world. My husband always tells me that. It helps to normalize the situation and makes my audience seem less fearsome, almost silly. It really helps to relax you.
Break a leg.

As a professor, I agree with all the suggestions previously mentioned.they will be helpful as you prepare. I speak in front of many people and there is always some level of anxiety. However, instead of constructing the anxiety as negative, see it as a positive reflection of your desire to do a good job. Further, you may want to reflect on the teachings from Morita Therapy: First, accept your thoughts and feelings uncritically because we typically can't change them immediately anyway; second, know your purpose; finally, do what needs to be done. Facing our own psychological demons is encouraging. That is, we develop courage by knowing that in spite of how we feel, or what we think, we can still accomplish the task. When all else fails, an old doctoral professor of mine used to say, "never be nervous about speaking in front of a group.just talk about what you know and try to relate it to what they want to hear." Above all, my friend, keep a sense of humor.the "higher ups" may actually know less than you think you do! Best wishes!
