The morning is commonly thought to be the better time to lift by most professionals because the body is well-rested and ready to fully take on the physical requirements of a workout.
Studies on this are pretty inconclusive though. The fact is that if you do it right, it makes very little difference what time you workout. What I would think about more is developing an effective routine for hypertophy (muscle growth) that fits your schedule. Remember though, diet (lots of calories, protein, & *CALCIUM), and rest are just as important as the physical workout, especially when you are trying to bulk up the right way.
