Why am I so tired after sleeping 10 or more hours?

You are probably getting to much sleep, which can often make you feel more tired than not getting enough. Aim for about 8 hours a night and stick to a regular bed time and waking up time..it should help. If not talk to your doctor to rule out thyroid problems, sleep disorders, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

You might be getting too much sleep, which makes you just as tired as not enough sleep. Try sticking to a sleeping routine, getting 8-9 hours a night. You'll probably feel better.

just that your (subconscious) mind tells you that youre tired (from dreaming or REM sleep).

Because all u needed was 8. I can't even sleep 8, I just sleep 5 if I am able and still keep going through the day.
sleeping more than 6 hours a day makes u lazy and dizzy and if u further go to sleep than 6 hours u will feel the weakness due to no food intake and so on.
You might be tired because you are over sleeping. Yes there is such a thing I should know because I used to do it all of the time, Or you might be tired because u do way to much stuff and don't have time to just sit back and relax.
everybody's body is different. yours might need more sleep because for example if you work out all day and then have a night time job, you'll need a lot more sleep than some one who works part time on computers
Could be one of a number of things:- Lung desease, lack of exercise, lack of DEEP sleep, depression, alcohol abuse, overweight, pregnancy to name a few. You dont give enough information for a diagnosis. Best to visit your G.P. if it continues.
it's because after you rest too much.you wake up!
you have to think and function again..and such long times you have the rest; that 's why you feel tired of being function now again with your brain..=)
