I recently got a tattoo. is it attractive or tacky?

Question:
I recently got a very meaningful tattoo, its the name willow in japanese. its quite far below my waist. I'm worried that anyone i'm intimate with will find it unattractive.

Answers:
You picked the wrong time to ask the question. Also, anybody who doesn't like you because of something on your body is shallow.

Other Answers:
As long as you like it, it shouldn't make a difference.

I would like it!

If they find it unattractive, then they really are too shallow to be hanging with them to begin with.

can be extremely attractive depends on the girl. But for me no more than one.

depends on where you got it

It depends on the person. Some people find the body to be like a temple, and anything on it just takes away from it. but I know plenty of people who find them sexy. I have two. I got them both in easily hidden spaces (so I can hide them if I want to) one is on my shoulder, the other on my back. I've had comments to both degrees. but I think more people thought they were sexy than not. Unless, they were LYING to me! But anyway, I don't think it will affect the person being intimate with you. they'll live with it, even if they find it unattractive, if the intimacy is good they'll probably end up finding it hot. ;)

I hope YOU really like it because it will be there for as long as you live. How will it look when you are in your 80's and have sagging skin?

if you get to the point of intimacy with someone then it shouldn't matter. there is way more involved with being intimate with someone than superficial looks and if that person can't/won't accept you as you are then that is not a person who deserves your intimacy.

how do u know that it says willow it could say pillow or i'm gay or sum **** u don't know. r u japanese?

i think that its only important wut u think. its ur body if anyone else has a deal with it then theyre not worth it. stick up for urself and stand up for what u think

I don't find the name willow all the meaning full, even if it is written in Japanese. TACKY

I remember in my young ages, a guy who used to do tattoos told me that the first one should be in a place you don't see, like your back or shoulder, because you may end up hating it.
I am glad I didn't get one 10 years ago. I like my clothes and I wear out them, but finally I get ride of them. My wife has 2 tattoos and they are sexy, but she doesnt let me have one.

In my house I have always the last words, YES SWEETIE

What others think is not real important in the Grand Scheme of things. It is what YOU think that counts.

My concern about this field is that tattoos are a fad that will fade away over the next several years, but the tattoos won't.

I cannot imagine an image I want to live with forever. Heck, I can't think of a design I'd still want next week!

Just as a matter of personal opinion I think tattoos, especially iconographic or meaningful tattoos, to be very attractive. It shows a depth of character and makes people unique in new and interesting ways.

My idea of tacky/tasteless tattoos: anything with obscene/explicit words or weapons.. yuck.

I find Japenese writing very unique. I think that tattoos are alright just as long as you don't have like 20. If you have one then I think it would be attractive to a guy. If you have like really big ones or just alot of them i find that disgusting and completely unattractive.

I think they are attractive I have 3! And my husband loves them

I have a tattoo of a faery on the lower right side of my back. Don't worry, Im sure your tattoo is very pretty. :)

if somebody whom you are getting intimate with suddenly stops being intimiate because of a simple tattoo, then they're not worth the time it takes to unbutton your pants in the first place. it's your body, and if it's meaningful to you, it shouldn't matter what another person thinks. if you get to a point in an intimiate relationship where your tattoo is REALLY bothering your partner, then you 2 need to sit down and have a serious discussion about the problem and then solve it together. honestly, it probably won't be an issue. by the time your 80 it'll have sagged to your knees anyways and nobody will care. j.k

In my humble opinion, it is tacky. Why would you want to mess up your body? I fear you will regret it some day.

It is beautiful!

well its a little late for this now isnt it.

I'm curious as to why willow would be meaningful to you.

Some people can pull off certain tattoos in certain places and others cannot. I hate to say it, but if you have quite a lot of fat down there, I wouldn't find it attractive as opposed to a smaller girl. Don't get me wrong, I don't think bigger women shouldn't have tattoos (I have two), but it just doesn't mesh well in certain areas.

As far as your question goes, some guys do find it attractive and others don't. You might find the latter guy and he may be so repulsed by it that will be the end or he might learn to deal with it. It really depends on the guy.

i think body modification is wonderful, and it's even better that you chose to get something meaningful instead of say, a picture of a toaster??!! lol i have never had any problems from people or my boyfriend(he has tattoos too) with any of my four tattoos (all of which are along my spine and easily covered) it's good that you got it in a place that u can cover it up. body art is beautiful! i wouldn't worry about it at all
