I don't know what you've tried or how much you've tried to loose but this might help or it might not. I have tried for years to lose weight. I have two years I did 2 hours of exersise per/day. I was tone and felt fix but guess what I didn't lose a pound. And I was still a big woman at 200 lbs. I then tried reduce fat diet, while still exercising and again nothing. I severly reduced my surger intact and still exercising but admitedly now I was down to 5 hrs week. Still pretty fit but no a pound came off and I wasn't lossing inches either. I went through several attemps, weight watchers, ackin's diet, etc.
I went to my doctor and we went thought my exercise program, and how much fat was in my diet, sodium and it all looked good. So a bunch of test where run but again everything came up neg. This went on for years and finally I gave up.
For a few years things where ok, but now I'm older and weight has been gaining and I've grown physically weaker. I couldn't even get the energy up to do any serious exercise anymore.
Then last year a friend of mind who had a similar story, had always been heavy and even had a similiar boby build as mine decide to she was going to loss weight. In November she reached her goal weight loosing 100 lbs. I was so impressed and decided to give the weight loss another try.
This time though I didn't just jump in. I did a food log of what my normal eating habits where. This information turned out to be gold because shock of shockers I actually wasn't eating enough. My average calarie intake was between 900-1100 per/day. It was no wonder I didn't have any energy. It also helped explain why every cold that came though I'd get. My whole system was weak and getting just enough to live. Then any time I'd take in any extra calories my body would store it for fat. Plus I learned not eating enough will make your body retain even more water. This made me feel boated and less comfortable moving around, so less desire to exercise.
So in the first two week I actually upped my calorie intake by 500 and by the end of the two weeks I'd lost 8 lbs. I then started an exercise program joining a gym. With tracking my calories(it doesn't even matter alot what I eat. One week I ate Icecream twice, still keeping in my cal range and I still lost 2.5lbs that week), taking multi vitamen, drink water and exercise mildly about an hour 4 times a week I've now lost 20 lbs and gone down two sizes.

Thai Chi
Pace workouts
