Laryngitis - any good home remedies out there?

this affects me every year. I just drink teas and you just have to keep your voice rested and it will come back. However, i think the old native american remedy is one to think about. I'm going to write it down and try it next year!

Rest your voice. Use a humidifier (Mariah Carry does this to keep her throat and voice box in good condition), mix raw honey and lemon juice - both have healing components - and use and a syrup. Oh and did I say rest your voice. I had strep one year and coughed so long and hard I got laryngitis. This worked for me.
