What kinda dress should i wear to prom?

Question: This is my LAST year for anything and i kinda wanna go all out! I'm going with my best friend who likes me and i like him and i wanna look good but also go all out cause its my last year. Does anybody know of any good places to get a ROCKIN dress, that is also QUITE cheap! This is my chance to show people im not a freak and not ugly and all that good stuff that they say. i wnat people to be starring at me when i walk in the room, i would like to be prom queen instead of some preppy girl.(No offence) But i wanna be made over and all that jazz. I want for once in my life to be happy with my friends and myself and my almost boyfriend. Prom is May 27th and my Birthday is March 28th so yeah well just let me know what to do im going with you guys on this one

i had my prom dress made by a local dress maker i went very classic Audrey Hepburn was my insiration i only spent $120 including materials and work
plus i have a very hourglass shape so i couldnt find a dress that fit perfectly
i can still wear the dress its still hot and i wore it 12 years ago

I would definately go to Windsor to get a prom dress because they are really nice and cheapER, but they aren't uber expensive. They are awesome there

It partly depends on your body type, size, shape, etc. But I'd wear something like worn at the Oscars this year. You can get dood deals on knockoffs from absstyle.com and faviana.com. Someone also mentioned edressme.com. That's a good one too!

aww I missed all those high school proms :( anyways..if you're looking for some hot dress..go to www.fredericks.com they have some very classy, fun, and flirty dresses and not so expensive. you may also E-Mail me if you need any other advice..like hair, makeups, shoes, etc..I may not be an expert but I do know a thing or two :]

Do you know any college ppl who are doing fashion design? Do you know anyone who sews? You can find lots of dress patterns at www.sewingpatterns.com if you can get someone to sew it for you/sew it yourself.

Otherwise, choose your best feature (great shoulders? great waistline? great boobs?) and then choose a dress that is going to really flatter your shape.

Go for STUNNINGLY ELEGANT rather than STUNNINGLY bright and scary :)

A simple dress with the right accessories is usually way more pretty than something that blinks and flashes.
