I think they gave my best friend skin cancer at 22. SERIOUSLY. Surgery and Chemo and all.

Bad idea. You run added risk of skin cancer, and what's the point? What's wrong with your natural skin color anyway?

I don't use them. Besides the simple fact that I don't tan.I'd rather stay pale than get skin cancer.

They make you look great now, but the long term effects of them, can be deadly. Trust me when I say, skin cancer can be extremely deadly, and one of the quickest ways of getting it, is to either lay out in the sun, or lay in a tanning bed, on a regular basis. If you are simply wanting a bit of color, and are only planning on using a tannning bed occasionally, then you are probably okay, but I still think you're taking a risk.

And if people use the proper lotions, oils ,ect. they won't have to worry about the effects of cancer. Hell, you can get cancer from drinking water these days!!

I tried tanning beds for the first time this winter. I was SHOCKED at how incredibly relaxing it was. I can really understand why people go to these now. It's so nice and warm and the fans and bed just make me so comfortable (pretty darn unusual for some semi-public place where you take your clothes off).

I know that tanning beds aren't good for your skin, not really - that it raises the risk of skin cancer. That and the cost is what keeps me from going. One day when I make more money (hopefully), I'd like to go in the winters every now and then, though. I just need the sun to feel good sometimes and in the winter tanning beds seem like a decent alternative for a periodic sunny little treat!

I think they're stupid and the people that get cancer from them deserve it for being dumb and concerned only with appearances.

I love them. I own one. I have a nice tan all year round.

I think they are for insecure white people, or even worse bronze tanned wannabe supermodels who in the end will have more wrinkles, higher chance for skin cancer, and look 10 years older when you want to look 10 yrs younger.

I think they are extremely dangerous as people can get skin cancer from them. in my opinion a natural tan is so much more natural than using a tanning bed and looking like a tangerine. have respect for yourself and your body!

wonderful on a cold winter day. 20 minutes of warmth and music is fantastic.
