Just ejaculateing is not. Sexual intercourse could be but rarely. Sometimes it could be harmful for older people, or people with heart conditions, as it is quite a cardio work out. So anal sex must be taken slowly, and don't start out by just putting the penis in right away. use lots of lube, start small with mayby a finger, than two, than mayby a small dildo until the partner feels ready, and even than take it slowly, and listen to your partner and if they say stop or slow down..do so, because the anus can tear fairly easily!
