Its really hard to lose pounds just doing exercises.
As mentioned by some user, you can try to take a diet
which is healthy and a balanced diet. But I wil like to warned you which previous users have not said that dun ever skip any meals.
Take an example, I skipped breakfast today. I will feel very hungry right. During lunch, I will tend to eat more because i am hungry!! Thats why, you will end up fatter if you skips meals!
Another reminder. for example if you are fat on your tummy and you want to do crunches to become slim on your tummy. That is wrong! Where a person do exercise, the body determines which part of the body it want to use the fats!
So i suggest you going for all-rounded exercises.

diet and run outside in the street. and when i say diet, i don't mean starve yourself, i mean eat right and small portions. and when i say run in the street, i mean lightly jog on the sidewalk, or run up and down your stairs at home.
Do a lot of walking, and drink at least 8 12oz glasses of water per day. It worked for me.

resistence training ( i would suggest books by Joyce Vedral, this will help you gain smal muscle mass to raise ur natuaral metabolism).
of course eat well. dont forget to strech.

I lost 41 lbs at home with no machines or anything.
When I decided I wanted to lose weight, I decided that as my daily snack I'd eat a container of light yogurt and a banana. It was strangely filling, and from that alone (I hadn't started exercising yet) I lost eight pounds in two weeks! But-- I joined Curves after that and lost 27 more pounds after that. :)
You should start simple: If you drink a lot of sodas, switch to water (at least half of the time), Walking is good too. I bought a pedometer to measure how much I walk in an average day, and then added 600 steps and made that my goal for a week. add some more for next week, etc.
There's a lot you can do!! And if you can stay focused on your goal it's not really that hard! Don't try to over-do it. you can't lose 400 pounds in a week, no matter what you try!
