how low can your temperature go before you die?

Question:

Answers:
I dun know that, but i know how we maintain our temperature.

In Biology, when humans is a warm-blooded mammal. That means the body temperature will always remain constant at 36.9 degree.

When the surrounding temperatures drops, we will shiver and our hairs will stand Shivering is an uncontrollable muscle contraction whereby the body does this to generate heat. The hair is to trap heat. When we feels cold, our rate of metabolism increases. During this time, the body works extra hard and the body needs energy (glucose).

When a person is determined dead, is when whole body system colapse or there is no glucose (energy) left for the body to work. When glucose runs out, the shivers will stop. And that is when humans freeze and die.

Other Answers:
It depends on many factors. The lowest that I can find was around 16C for cats, before they expired. That's extremely low, however.

for humans, about 90 Farenheit

It's around freezing.
32 Degrees F.

Good question. this is still ponderd by most scientist b/c there is no way to simply make the body lose tempitrue at a rate without using an OUTSIDE sorce (ice.) but the lowest ive herd about is hypothermia 85F at that point if your not dead there is no way to regain the tempitrue to live so you still die ether way

Depends.low temps have actually saved a person from drowning/dying because their temp slowed the process of brain damage and respiratory failure.
My ed. guess would be 82-90 degrees F.

What they said is right. However, as if miraculasly, the lowest record (held by the Journal of American Medical Association) in the case of a man dying of extreme hypothermia was 65 F

Sever hypothermia is when your body temp is between 92-86F
At 90F the body attempts to go in a form of hibernation, shutting down all peripheral blood flow and reducing heart and respiration rates. At 86F a person looks dead, but is still alive. Death usuall occurs before the body reaches 78-75F.
