Is there any harm in taking medicines by dissolving them(not swallowing)?
Question:
Answers:
No way. It actually improves the effect of it. A dissolved medicine acts faster and gets absorbed faster in your system. The only reason you swallow a tab or a capsule is that many salts in the medicine taste so awful and bitter that you cant drink that potion.
Warning - There are many tabs which are Sustained release (SR). They are meant to dissolve slowly thorough out the day and keep the regular flow of the drug in your system,. If you dissolve them and have it at once you stand a chance of an overdose or a rebound effect. Such tablets would be swallowed only

by dissolving u do only good to ur stomach, and the medicine is faster absorbed by blood
No harm at all, unless it is some kind of time release medicine like a 12 hour cold capsule. Any medicine you take would get dissolved in your stomache anyway.
You could try just dissolving your pills in a cup of warm water, and drinking the entire thing.
Ask your doctor. Some medication is meant to be swallowed since they Have to be dissolved at a specific place in the digestive system. One parameter of solid drug manufacturing is the dissolution time (the time the pill/capsule dissolves), by crashing it you modify its properties.
Actually, there could be, it maybe that one of your medicines is time released. That being the case, it should be taken whole. Since that appears to be a problem consult with your doctor, they can either change your medicine or perhaps change it into liquid form.
Never do that.
You could seriously compromise your health. Pills, capsules, caplets are complex formulas that are designed to be dissolved by your stomach. Sometimes, they are time released, or, the medicines need your stomach juices to effectively digest them.
Ask your doctor if crushing them is ok.
It depends on the medication. Some meds are time release and if you crush them then the dose that is supposed to be released into your bloodstream over time gets dumped in all at once and that can be very dangerous, depending on the drug. The best person to talk to about it is your pharmacist. They know even more about drugs than doctors and are usually very happy to answer question.
you shouldnt have to crush them, ask your doctor if you can get it in liquid form?
there are so many medicines available in liquid form these days.
