You can only have herpes if the person you had sex with has it too right?

Question:
I think i have genital herpes but my boyfriend doesn't have it. We've only ever had sex with eachother and we're always protected. I have these tiny red bumps around my vagina and they hurt when you touch them. What does this mean?

Answers:
Condoms are not a safe barrier for transmission if an active lesion is present. It is a myth that if one person has herpes so does his or her partner. For comfort, use a warm soak with Epsom salts or sitz baths. Lesions can be cleaned with Betadine. Wear loose clothing and cotton underwear and avoid ointments with cortisone and petroleum as they make matters worse. Finally get to a doctor immediately.

Other Answers:
if you think its herpes doesnt make it so but if it is hes lying honey because you can only get it having sex!

Yes, but here is a good site for you to go read up about it. I would strongly suggest you get 'seen' for this so the diagnosis is correct, but in the meantime, this site is THE BEST for sexuality talk.. from Pregnancy to STDs.

Maybe infected hairs or a rash.See your doctor.

ya, sounds like herpes, sounds like somebody is lying to the other one. Get to your doctor, and never trust a man.
