How do I remove brassy color from blond (dyed) hair?

Question:
Hair color was light brown/dark blond. Used L'Oreal Natural Blond #9. Color was good at first then after a few washings it started to get brassy. How do I remove the brassiness?

Answers:
you can buy shampoo for silver or gray hair and it will help to tone it down. I belive nexxus has a shampoo called silver brightening or something close to that. The best thing to do is go to a professional and let them fix the color. Boxed colors from stores just aren't that great they are what you call metallic dyes and are hard to correct and you never really know what's gonna happen with the color.

Other Answers:
Rinse with an ash blonde rinse.

Buy Pert shampoo and scrub your scalp and hair real good. It will take it off, but you should wash your hair twice, then you can put what color you want.

the best way is to go to the hairdersser, they'll have to put a toner in to get rid of the brassiness. I don't think there is anything over the counter you can use. if you attempt something on your own you may make it worse.trust me i know from experience!

You can go to a beauty supply store and get some toner it is avaible to purchase and then you can apply it to your hair to take the brassiness out. The best thing to do however is to go to a salon and have them do it. Then use professional shampoo conditioner and styling products (that are sold in salons) on your hair and if this happens again then they will be liable to fix it for you at no charge.
