How can I get my hair thinner instead of straightening it?

Question:
I tried straightening it with a Iron and a straightener. That just makes it really dry though!

Answers:
Why don't you try getting a layered haircut? It will help thin out your hair.

Other Answers:
A flat iron will make your hair flat, as opposed to a big curling iron or straightener that only straightens but does not flatten.

Depending on your hair type, a hair stylist can thin out your hair with thinning scissors. I have had it done to my thick hair and it helps for a while.

Also, make sure you use product on your hair before using a flat iron, to help protect your hair from damage. Really, any sort of straightening cream or gel is good. I recommend Dove Straight & Soft Sleek Styling Cream.

I don't think u can make ur hair thinner but a haircut could help. and u shouldn't use that straightener too often cause this will degradate ur hair

my own experience

tell ur stylist 2 use thinning shear or a thinning raror also use a sheen when u flat iron so it will b shiney also ask her 4 a deep conditioner to help w/dryness

you can go to a salon and ask them to thin your hair out, what they do is they cut your hair is certain directions that take bulk out, and no length has to come off if you dont want it too!
