Sexual addiction can be a very serious matter. I have known people whose entire lives became chaos due to the cycle of sexual addiction.

It is my opinion that anybody who is sexually active is somewhat addicted to sex.

There is a tipping point. When you find yourself lying, cheating, or sneaking around to obtain sex, you could have a problem. If sex is simply an act of gratification and no longer is an expression of love, trust, and commitment, you could have a problem. If you have lost a job or missed work to obtain sexual gratification, sexual addiction could be a problem.
