You have to go to the Doctor, you have to be serious about this, you MUST HAVE the list of the things you can eat, cause this illness you can have control about it, but if you don“t pay attention to it there will be serious consecuences. Take good care of your feet ALWAYS, but above all LET THE DOCTOR BE ALONG YOU ALL YOUR LIFE. BEST LUCK.
carbohydrates tend to be the biggest problem because your body turns them into sugers in which you don't need. Complexcarbohydrates are the better way to go along with the right portions of protein. Breads, sugars, white rice and baked goods or sweets really should be avoided along with candy. Foods with a high glycemic index are really the ones you should avoid. Yet accordingly you should consult with your doctor on proper diet and nutrition, it is not something to take lightly. They do say several small meals a day versus 3 big ones is helpful. There are sugar free snacks and even candy for those that just can't help the craving, but you'll want to not eat too much of those because they can have unwanted effects such as the runs. You should avoid or eat less foods that will be coverted to sugar in the body like, high carb,e.g.speggeti, rice,potatoes and the like.Try avoid too much sugar too if you are Type 2 Diabetic. Eat in moderation 6 small meals a day to avoid your blood sugar level to go up too high. The most important thing is to take your medication religiously.Take more fibre rich food esp. beans,peas veg. and fruits, but dont take fruits that are too sweet like grapes, sweet oranges. If you want to eat sweet fruits divide the fruit into smaller portions, that also to prevent the sugar level from going up too high.
why when talking about diabeties and the food which u shudn't eat do people say sugar?? EVERYONE needs sugar if u don't get enough sugar u'll just like kill over or something. don't need eat sugar foods. I don't eat lollies unless i have low sugar levels and i don't drink soft drinks or cordiles only diet stuff. But a diabetic can eat what everyone else eats there is no difference you just have to be more careful on the junk food. which a normal person should do anyway!!
