How to train spacing for an 8 years child?

Question:

Answers:
Being the child is 8, then the spacing is required to be closer than 1 or 2 fingers. It really depends on the size of the childs writing but for my grandson, I used a 1/4 inch wide, 4 inch long strip of cardboard in each of his books. So it would be handy for each subject. I insisted with homework and practice work that he place it at the end of every word he wrote. After three weeks, he started spacing without it. But any time he started jamming his words together again, I made him use the 'strip' of cardboard for the rest of the day.

Hope this helps. It worked great for us.

Other Answers:
u should just make them use to fingers everytime thats how i have my 1st grade kids do it.

spacing as in the space between words?

if yes, put two fingers at the end of the word, then start writing on the other side of the two fingers

we use tongue depressors with a smiley face on the end..they work, or you can use fingers. this is cuter and their fingers don't get in the way.
