Now it can obviously fluctuate a little higher or lower and you can still be healthy. 54 is pretty low, but I have seen lower. If you haven't been diagnosed with diabetes already, then I'd get an appointment with a doctor right away. Although, you're blood sugar should be high, not low without insulin injections. Maybe you're hypoglicemic.
