I had CABG 5 weeks ago and my taste is still metallic. Anyone else have this problem this far out?

Has anyone ever taken or is taken neurotin for neuropathy?

I don't want to scare you but I was watching this show on discovery this weekend and there was a guy who had bowel surgery and when he went home he had a metallic taste in his mouth. Well, to make a long story short it turned out that they had left a retracter inside of him. The only reason they found it was that his father insisted they do a MRI on his stomach area (he was having severe pain also).

Haslo, this guy on this show had this metallic taste in his mouth for two months after his surgery, what I have posted here is a valid point and don't try to discount it.

Like I said I'm not trying to scare you, but maybe you should speak to your doctor and ask him/her how long a metallic taste should last because it seems like its been a long time.
