There is NOT YET "cure" for AIDS. There are several approved drug treatments that seem to slow the growth of the HIV viruses (which causes AIDS), and seem to slow the progress of the AIDS disease.
So far, these are imperfect for several reasons; they don't work for everyone, they have serious side effects, and the virus is "learning" to overcome these drugs.
Cancer is actually many different diseases, with many different causes, affecting many different parts of the body, and with many different outcomes. There are cures for a few types of cancer; effective treatments for many others; but there are still some types that we don't
have effective weapons to use against.

There's no money to be made off finding a cure for any disease. They'll never cure them. Not when we as a people or the goverment are throwing billions of dollars there way to supposedly find a "cure". There isn't one never will be. There is no cure for ANY virus out there currently, which includes HIV, because viruses don't respond to modern medicine, such as antibiotics. I always did wonder where our money goes, that people repeatably donate for research, since nothing has come our way, I always thought, would they get a "cure" out faster if we simply just stopped giving away free money? As for cancer, I'm not sure anyone can think of a cure, at least perhaps in the modern medical science way, since cancer is especially your own body, if you look up cancer in the dictionary, it says "any malignant growth or tumor caused by abnormal and uncontrolled cell division" which means that your immune system is fighting against an uncontrolled growth if YOUR own cells and tissue, how could we come up with a chemical that destroys cancer cells but not our own? But as far as HIV goes, personally I am one to believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, a team of medical research's last I heard was actually looking into a type of genetic immunity (or at least resistance) against HIV as well as other diseases.
