Answers:
No,tonsil is not a disease.but Tonsillitis is an infection in one or both tonsils. One sign is swelling of the tonsils.

Scientists believe they work as part of the body's immune system by filtering germs that attempt to invade the body, and that they help to develop antibodies to germs.
However the commonproblems with tonsil is the infection or abnormal enlargment.
You should see your doctor when you suffer the common symptoms of infected or enlarged tonsils or adenoids.

Well.. a your tonsils are small organs in the back of your throat. Tonsilitis is an infection in the tonsils which can cause swelling, redness, painfull swallowing. Tonsilitis is generally a viral infection which means you just have to live with it until it goes away. There is also strep however which produces many of the same symptoms of tonsilitis but you often get small white dots on them. This is caused by a bacterial infection and is treated with antibiotics. I have been told that if you suffer from strep or tonsilitis atleast 4 times a year then you should get them removed. I would definately see a doctor either way.

No tonsils are glands which catch the bacteria in your body and help fight infection. Sounds like you have tonsillitis, which is inflammation of the tonsils. In the old days they were taken out at childhood, know they discouraged this unless it's absolutely necessary. Home remedies such as gargling salty water helps sooth, but you really need to see a doctor to see why your getting it so often. By the way the older you are if you do have them ripped out, the sicker you'll be after the operation.

I feel something cold in my heart, what could it mean?

Tonsil is not a disease but a member of lymahatic system which plays a vital role in immunity that is protection from outside microbes. If u are getting repeated attacks of tonsillitis means some microbe is entering in your mouth in response to which tonsils are enlarging & getting inflammed. So look for the source of infection like tooth caries, infection of nose, sinuses. The simple remedy is to do saline lukewarm water gargles.

how i know if i brignant?

Tonsils are the tissues on the sides of your throat when you open your mouth, and when you have an infection (tonsilitis)or get sick they can become inflammed and swell up, causing your throat to block up and give you a high fever. People used to get tonsilectomies once they get strep throat or tonsilitis, but these days doctors aren't as quick to suggest that anymore, cuz they're realizing the importance of the tonsils for its immuno-properties. The general practice now is if you get strep throat 3-4+ times per year then you should remove the tonsils, otherwise antibiotics work just fine.

I have freakishly enlarged tonsils even without an infection, and I used to get strep each year, along with sleep apnea all of my doctors think I could use a tonsilectomy, but I kept them and haven't had strep in years and they only bother me when I get really sick.
