What is the chances of a baby getting cancer if the mother has?


My wife has leukemia (AML). She's currently in remmission and we want to have a baby. Will our baby get cancer as well? What is the chances?

Have a lump in breast. Dr said mamo looked good Surgeon said looked ok but Should i have it taken out anyway?

Chances are better that any children should develop cancer because its in the genetics of your wife. Its NOT a guarantee that they would get cancer but my doctor keeps a close watch on me cuz both of my parents passed away from cancer- so far im in great health! Anytime there is cancer in the family, the risks to the offspring increase. I would ask a medical professional personally. It would be worthwhile to look into 'alternate' health professionals ie. naturopaths, herbalists.
