I have had my copper IUD for close to 8 months and have just recently experienced roughly 2 periods monthly.?

Question: What gives? Is this the IUD or possibly perimenopause? I'm 39 and just last month had a normal pap smear.

i had the same problem with Implanon - maybe go back to your dr and ask them why?

I had that problem when I first got my copper IUD. but periods evened out within 6 months.

You're close enough to menopause. I'd see an MD.
