how should i stand?
Question:
Answers:
Practice by using the highest stilleto heel you can find. Once you can confidently walk in the heels you have the walk.
You'll also find that you never looked so good in a sweater.
Head up, shoulders back, hips loose, knees cadenced slightly locked.
You should "slide" toward the side to sit in your chair if you've pulled it out yourself.
If a gentleman pulls out a chair for you you should seat yourself directly (in square fashion) in the chair as he will thrust the chair forward to intercept your derrier.
Good Luck!

Stand tall with good posture. Ok. start with your feet apert but no more than the width of your shoulders. Also stand on the balls of your feet not your heels. Next, think about your knees. They should be slightly bent. try to distribute you weight evenly on both legs. next focus on your torso: gut in, chest held high, and shoulders back. Something that heps to place your shoulders in the correct position is to roll them forward, then back and then let them come to rest in the correct position. Finally, focus on you neck and head. Position your neck and head so that they sit directly over your shoulders. Make sure your chin is up. Some thing that may help you do this is to imagine that there is a string attatched to the top of your head and that someone is pulling it staight up. Overall your stance should feel relaxed and not stiff. Focus on breathing through your abdoman and not your chest. As far as walking goes maintain your posture and walk in a comfortable stide with a pace appropriate to your situation. As for sitting, maintain your posture from the waist up, keep your knees together, and cross your feet off to one side. Technically, it is not considered proper to cross your legs at the knees but do what ever makes you comfortable for the situation. Keep your hands in your lap while sitting and loosely at your sides while walking and standing. Good posture should feel comfortable, though it takes practice, and helps to show confidence. Hope this helps.
