First find out how many calories you burn on a daily basis through your BMR and AMR calculation.

That gives you a starting point based on how many calories you should eat a day to maintain or lose weight. Combine a good diet, lean meats, no carbs after 6pm, only complex carbs before 6pm, plenty of veggies with a diligent exercise regimen of strength conditioning and aerobic exercise (at least 3-4 times per week) and you'll get in shape in no time.

This however takes an incredible amount discipline. I suggest seeking a qualified strength and conditioning specialist or personal trainer in your area to help you meet your goals.

Keep in mind that long-term weight loss takes an incredible amount of discipline making wise food decisions and consistently exercising. Don't look for the magic pill because there isn't one.

work out, watch what you eat and more work out

Exercise 3-5 days a week for 30 minutes. You should also watch your intake of food. Minimize sweets and eat moderately. It takes time but pays off in the end. I have just started running 3 days a week. Already I feel better and my clothes were a little looser. I am running a 5k a few months from now and that keeps me motivated to run.

Change eating habits and exersize. When changing your eating habits it would be good to right down what you eat for about a week, and see a dietition. Also join a exersize program with a friend. It will keep you motivated. Just make sure that you don't have 'slip-ups'.
