I have had gall bladder surgery so I know what he is going through. He might find that some foods make it worse, and not necessarily fatty foods all the time either - one of the foods I discovered taht really did not agree with me before I had the surgery was oranges and grapefruit. If I ate them I always seemed to have an attack afterwards. He might need to pay close attention to see if he can identify anything like that.
Luckily we live in Canada so we don't have the kind of problem you are having - our health care is free. We all pay for it as tax payers and we all have equal access to it. I feel for you - is there any way you can do some sort of payment plan as a previous poster suggested? I know how awful your husband feels sometimes - gall bladder attacks are no fun. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
For how long will I be able to shed off pounds?
Other Answers:
either that or just make payments to the hospital
they don't have to be huge payments
It may be hard to get insurance now---it is a pre-existing condition. Basically he has to give up all fat and lower the number of attacks. Save your money and hope for the best. You might check your state for options on medical care.
how can i quite smoking friends?plz help me?i need a moral n medical advise? help help help?
Any insurance will ask about pre-existing conditions and will not pay for the surgery if this was a pre-existing condition. Depending on where you live he could get charity care for the hospital services but you would have to pay for the dr.What's the most effective diet?

It wouldn't do you any good to get private insurance because they wouldn't cover pre-existing problems.
I would go to the hospital and tell them your situation. See if they will work with you making payments. If not, maybe you could get a loan to cover it and perhaps consolidate other bills to keep the payments down.
Ask the doctor about the least invasive treatment. Sometimes they can use a laser to bust up the gallstones. By being less invasive, it's probably less expensive.
I don't know if this helps or not. Good luck.
is anyone have eating disorder or feel pro ana?
Unfortunately, if you are living in the US, and were born here, and have always worked, there is not much available for you.You might be able to get private insurance, but they might reject the operation because they will call it a "pre-existing" condition. Plus people in their office make the decisions on the medical care, not the doctors.
The only thing you can do is hope to find a doctor that will bill you for his services, but that is like hoping to find gold at the end of a rainbow. Remember - doctors do take an oath to help those that need it, as long as they can afford it.
On Feb. 2 of last year, I had my gallbladder removed and I had no insurance. You can apply for financial help through the hospital after the surgery and they can help you out. And also you can get what is called a spend down which means, the hospital will pay for everything that you can't afford to pay. And if by any chance you cannot get help through the hospital or by churches, you can set up payment arrangements. Sometimes as low as $5.00 per month will be enough for a payment. Good luck and God bless you and your family.
We had a friend once who had a child that needed surgery, they held a fundraising event, I dont know all the details, but they had it at a bowling alley and they sold tickets, I think it was like a prom would cost. it included bowling , food that they had help cooking, like a family reunion, they sold tickets for drawings for some prizes that were donated from people., I dont know how to find out about this, but you could do a fundraiser for your husbands surgery, good luck
