can you always see a baby on ultrasound at 8 weeks?

is cystic fibrosis and x chromosone disease?

Answers:
With transabdominal ultrasound, we can usually see the fetal pole and heart beat around 6 weeks. If the mother is obese, it might be a bit longer. With transvaginal scanning, we can often see the embryo with heart beat around 5 weeks. Of course the embryo looks like a jelly bean. This is the most accurate time to "date" the pregnancy (see how far along you are). To determine the sex of the fetus, week 18-20 is best.
