Doctor might have hurt me during a pap smear?

Question:
Is it possible to bleed a little when an emergency room doctor is doing a pap smear?

Answers:
I agree with Bozobabe, it depends greatly upon what brought you to the ER in the first place. I've heard of women with cysts bleeding during a routine paps smear. You should have asked the doctor, especially if there was pain. See your regular Gynie.

it would have hurt if you were hurt
if you had blood it might have come from the womb you have blood there waiting untill your period then after a week or two it starts to collect blood again

Yes, it's very likely and very possible. I wouldn't be too worried about it unless you are bleeding very much. It could also be because you are about ready to start your monthly and the pap triggered it. I wouldn't worry too much unless you start experiencing a lot of pain, and a lot of blood. You'll be fine!

It depends on how much is a little.like quarter size or like bleed thru between periods? The bleeding could have come from the uterus from like a fibroid etc. It depends on why you went to the ER and needed a Pap. Also it could be coming from your urethra from like a bladder infection or UTI. From a normal Pap there should be no bleeding all it is a peice of plastic that takes some cells from your cervix.
