I have found Excedrin Migraine to be the best over-the-counter medicine. If this doesn't get better soon, you need to go see the doctor to be sure it is a migraine you are having and not some other problem. There are also some good (but expensive) prescription medications like Imitrex you can take for migraines.

I have found that I will not get over a migraine no matter what I take unless I lay down in a dark room for a couple of hours.

I agree with the others about Excedrin Migraine medication It works for me and faster if I drink a lot of water. Sometimes bad headaches come from not drinking enough water.
