Electrolytle imbalances. Not enough nutrition. Drink V-8 juice. i swear on everything I love it gets rid of them.

Overdoing ur work-out can do it, but usually its a potassium deficiency. Try eating a banana every day, they're high in potassium and easy to take with u on the run.

I experienced these during pregnancy. My OB/GYN said it was a potassium deficiency and suggested taking a suppliment. It helped right away. Also, bananas and prunes are great sources of potassium.

Charlie horses (and muscle pulls in general) happen when your muscles are weak or injured. When the muscle has worn thin at some spot a strenuous activity will cause the muscle in that location to contract in order to prevent further injury.

leg cramps usually caused by low potassium (eat more potatoes, bananas, OJ, oranges, pears, apricots).

Causes of LEG CRAMPS

- Muscle cramps can arise from spontaneous firing of special nerve groups followed by contraction of certain muscle fibers.
- Cramps that are recurrent and localized to one muscle group may suggest nerve root disease.
-electrolyte disturbances
-Cramps in the calf muscles are so common as to be considered normal, but more generalized cramps may be a sign of chronic disease of the motor neuron
