I had all my teeth pulled and have dentures .how long will it take for the pain to go away?
Question:
Answers:
You need to see your dentist and perhaps they can adjust the dentures for you. Also try eating soft foods until you are used to the new prosthesis in your mouth. Generally these types of dentures (sounds like you had them placed the day of the extractions) are temporary and do not fit well. But the best suggestion is to see your dentist asap. Also take the dentures out when you sleep, and make sure you clean them with toothpaste and or efferdent.
Other Answers:
you can take ibuprofen 600mg for the pain even whilst working and it will subside after about 1 week. Leave the dentures out if they are too painful and give your gums a rest.
Pain is so normal when you have a lot of teeth pulled but if runs for a long time now i guess you should tell it all to your dentist who extracted your teeth..The dentist will be able to check if anything is wrong so go ahead and go to your dentist..
If they stitched up your gums after extractions , there really should be very little pain No pain at all if the dentures fit properly. Go back to the dentist. Did they add bone graft back into the gums after extractions ? Sometime little particles of the bone added work out , this is normal if it does but may get under dentures and cause pain.
