Crunches.Try this one too: lay on your back, take a stability ball in your hands, lift your hands over your head, then bring your feet up - you'll look kind of like an upside down turtle - and pass the ball between your hands and feet, bringing each all the way to the floor when they have the ball. Do 10-15 reps, working up to 3 sets of 15.

My boyfriend just went through this. He cut his carb intake in half and upped his cardio and lost about 10 lbs and did a great ab workout, which include a bit of manly pilates and yoga. lol.About a month and a half later the results were great.
You could see the definition better after the small weight loss and it sculpted easily after.
He's back to his regular carb intake and did he's regular workout routine along with the manly pilates and yoga to keep up the maintance.

You are right: never stop eating. Really bad advice.
Instead, eat at least five meals a day, preferably 6 - 7. Two regular meals and the rest are mini-meals.
Eat whole foods. Do not eat processed/fast foods. Plenty of fruits and vegetables, and, you must include whole grain carbohydrates: brown rice and whole grain bread (do not eat wheat bread).
Next, eat a smaller quantity of lean proteins: egg whites (cooked without butter or margarine), turkey/chicken breast (broiled or baked, not fried. And no barbecue sauce), small amounts of soy, and fish. The best fish would be salmon and tuna. Try to get some herring into your diet, herring being the king of all healthy fish.
Stay away from processed sugars, like ice cream, candy bars, fruit drink "products" (like Snapple), soda, most commercially processed tomato sauces have added sugar, canned foods have processed sugars. I think you get the idea up to this point.
Get some cardio time in. You don't need to do hard core exercising, but, at least three days a week of a 30 minute cardio routine on the elliptical runner, treadmill, stationary cycle will burn excess body fat and calories. Do some free-weight exercises for your entire body, not just your abs.
Get your 7-8 hours of sleep every night. Believe it or not, getting enough sleep helps keep you slim.
Stay on this simple routine and you will get your results.
