Familiar Tremor?

Question:
My mother has a Familiar Tremor which is mostly in her hands..she is in her early 50's and has been to a few doctors. Has anyone had any treatment/medicines that have improved your shakiness that you could recommend?

Answers:
I have had the problem for years. It is annoying, but harmless. Strangely, the tremors can be eased for many people by taking Inderal or Innopram. They are blood pressure medications, but also help ease the familial tremors. They must be prescribed by a doctor, so she should discuss with him/her.

I read about something from Wall Street Journal the other day. The treatment has to do with triggering something in the brain.
