I am having to have a d&c & a laparoscopy done and tubes are tied. Are they going to have to do a reversal?
My main question is are they going to have unclamp my tubes to get the d&c done properly?

Frist of all, a D&C is NOT an abortion, it is used for diagnostic and treatment purposes. The D&C (dilation and cutterage) is used to diagnose cancer, endometriosis, and causes of abnormal uterine bleeding. It may also be used to treat some causes of bleeding. it is preformed in 2 steps. 1st is dilation of the cervix by insertion of progressivly larger rods. 2nd step is endometrial cutterage, or scraping of the uterine lining. the scraped tissue samples are then removed by suction, the sent to the lab for analysis. As for the laparoscopy, depending on what is being looked at, a small abdominal incision may be made and a small amount of gas injected into the abdomen to create a pocket to allow a clear view of the organs. expect for your shoulder to hurt afterwards due to your body absorbing the gas. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, NO, your tubal will not have to be reversed. a laparoscopy was preformed on you when you had your tubes tied.
