i get blood running outta my nose too from time to time. Might be lack of calcium or fatigue. What you should do, if it shows up is go lye down and raise the opposite arm to the nostril that's bleeding. But if you get that too often you should see a doctor.

Keep your head up. (The blood flow will then have to fight gravity. Also, when you lay down the blood will flow down the back of your throat and if copious you could choke!!) Take a tissue and roll it to fit in the nostril that is bleeding. Press gently against the side of your nose. Keep it in place till it needs to be changed or stops completely. If it needs to be changed, remove it gently and insert another roll. A small ice pack to the back of your neck will also help.
Don't blow your nose for a coupla days if you can help it.
If bleeding profusely, go to the doctor or er.
As a young teen I had to have a blood vessel in one side of my nose cauterized because I had nose bleeds almost every day without warning.

I use to suffer from nose bleeds (epitaxis). I was told to nip the top of the nose, and lean forward. Never to put my head back, as the blood goes down the back of your throat and you can choke. It was a nerve that needed cauterising.
Also putting ice on the nose is a good one.
