Is my running routine dangerous?

I have, three days ago, started an running routine in which I run for thirty minutes(well, more like walk for two minutes, run for two minutes, and repeat that for the thirty minute period) twice a day. In addition, I take a thirty minute power walk daily. (I run in the morning and evening, and run in the afternoon)
I plan to do this until Mid-June, then loosen up to running once a day.
Someone told me that it is dangerous and that I will overwork my muscles or something. Is this true?

Answers:
Running twice a day (no matter how much is running/walking) has the potential to have negative effects on your body.

Serious distance runners (oftentimes 60+ miles a week) only use doubles (running twice in a day) to increase overall mileage, using a second short run just to get more miles in during a single day. For a novice, running doubles isn't necessary, as it gives your body less time to recover.

Recovery is very integral to your overall fitness, without giving your body rest, you will become more and more worn out and eventually run into injury problems.

What is suggest to start out with is doing exactly what you're doing (running as much as you can in a 30 minute period) maybe 4 times a week, and as you become more comfortable with running (being able to run for the whole 30 mins), add in the other days and work yourself up to 6 days a week. As that becomes easier, then you can increase time per day slowly.

One of the most common thing beginning runners do is overwork themselves and end up getting hurt. Take it slow and good luck with your new running program!

Is there a doctor plz? I have an Egypt tea "paragon's tea"(red) and drink it 5or6cups in a day.give me advice

It doesnt seem that you are working too hard. 3 times a day may be a bit much, if you were running hard every time. The workout you are doing, is ok for now. It will help you get in better shape and prep you for being able to run longer. Just make sure your knees and ankles aren't hurting.

I am a runner

I have a womanly problem that doesnt seem to go away?

If you havent previoulsy been exercising this is too hard and you risk injuries like shinsplints as well as just starting to feel worn out.

If thats the case drop back to one 30 min run and one 30 min walk each time.

If you are a seasoned runner or athlete your body can probalby stand this but watch for signd you are training too hard - aching joints, tiredness, moodiness and elevated morning pulse rate
