is it normal to get erections and release without ejaculating?

Answers:
The cervix is a ring of tissue separating your uterus from your vagina. It allows the passage of your menstrual fluids from the uterus to the vagina during menstruation. It also allows the passage of spermatazoa from the vagina to the uterus and fallopian tubes.
During pregnancy the cervix closes (by forming a mucus plug) to maintain a closed environment for your growing fetus.

Abnormal tissues in the cervix are usually dysplasia of the cells of the cervix. This is usually from a HPV infection - also called Genital Warts. Your physician did a colposcopy to find out if those tissues are infected with this virus, if they have become dysplastic (abnormal), or if they have become metaplastic (cancerous). HPV is the leading cause of cervical cancer.

Genital warts are caused by human papilloma virus - the same virus family that causes regular warts.

Genital warts can be cured in much the same way as a regular wart. Either your immune system will kick in and eventually recognize the infected cells and destroy them or you can undergo cryotherapy which freezes the tissues in the attempt to kill the tissues infected with the virus. Just like in regular warts - freezing the wart doesn't always kill it.

The HPV vaccine (not on the market yet) covers many of the common strains of HPV. It does not however cover all of the strains that cause genital warts nor does it cover all that can cause cervical cancer. Additionally if any of those viruses mutate - the vaccine will not necessarily protect from those strains. If you already have HPV the vaccine will not cure you of HPV but it might provide some assistance in limiting the spread of the infection to your other tissues.
